We recently traveled to Louisiana and Texas with some of our good friends from Virginia and Indiana.
We first visited with Dr. Lawrence Mosley in Doyline, Louisiana where we had the opportunity to see the fine single-footing
horses he is breeding down there. We also had the exciting opportunity to visit George Foreman at his ranch in Marshall,
TX. From there we travelled to Nacogdoches, TX on Saturday, October 28th for Craig Stripling's trail ride.
This was a very nice event organized by the Stripling's to celebrate Craig's birthday. Among those attending were folks
from Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, Tennessee, and North Carolina. The trail ride ended with an exhibition of single-footing
horses across the dam of the pond on the property.
On the way back home we had the pleasure of stopping in Hamilton, Alabama to visit with friends.
We enjoyed having dinner with David & Renee Clark, Jim & Pam Mixon, Joe & Delinda Taylor, Danny & Pasty
Ray, and Richard & Teresa Moore. Afterwards we were welcomed into the home of David & Renee Clark for
a good night's rest while Rocket and Hammer rested in their comfy stalls. After spending some time with the Clark's
Monday morning we said our goodbyes and headed for the highway. It was a long drive home but it was nice to stop
in Athens, Tennessee for dinner with our good friends, Dean & Kathy Swafford.
Lot's of good friends were made and many amazing single-footing horses were seen!
